About Cat...
The Modern Therapist was built by Cat Edney, a dental therapist and clinical educator with twenty years in specialist and private practice. Years of working across multidisciplinary teams led to one conclusion: dental therapy works best when the whole team understands how to use it, not when it's treated as an occasional referral.
There are over 7000 registered dental therapists in the UK, and most practices still aren't working with them to anywhere near full scope. The Modern Therapist exists to close that gap from both directions: building confidence in therapists to work to their full scope, and building understanding in practices of what that scope is worth.
